The actual battle is 70k Germans vs 50k Soviet but historian counted all surrounding troops including soviet reserve in the area.

Sure why not? He have his hare of fuckups while the fanboy keep lionizing him. Paulus trapped inside Stalingrad was his fault.

Blitzkrieg works only if their opponent don't have AT guns and one month earlier they are at Stalingrad.

bonus: They dont. Soviet tactic works only with soviet system while American tactics works only with American system. Also those are nightmare they created themselves.

@Rorgosh Im pretty sure the Soviet still use their 2 offense one defense doctrine developed before the war up to today with huge number of reserve units. Completely different than developed by the Germans who prioritize sending everyone to the front. The only thing they might copy from the Germans was their panzerjager but they both have noticeable differences. The soviet anti tank doctrine was down to platoon level while Germans only touch regimental level. The Germans have both light panzerjager and heavy panzerjager while the soviet only have their self propelled altillery units without any distinction. Also deep battle operation was developed before the war but they only have equipments and skill to execute it in 1943.

@Rorgosh Oh and regarding no 4, Manstein have more than the soviet. Its actually 5 depleted armies vs 6 depleted corps and in the end the Germans focuses on defeating only three armies with their 6 corps. And about number 5 its more like the Soviet think its nice to have Kharkov since one month earlier they are still at Stalingrad and only send two rifle and one tank army to take the city. I doubt Manstein reach their supply lines because behind involved armies there are other reserve still marching to the front.

Yeah because the counter attack was initiated by Richard Ruoff.

@rynle2861 The soviet are peasant society. They don't have enough antibiotic or medical personel and have problem equipping all their troops with helmet. You will be shocked that during the war they take more casualty from disease than enemy action. They also have trouble to supply their army with machine gun which is the key factor why the Germans have much easier time in defensive/offensive action. Typical German infantry platoon have one MG 34 while the soviet have to rely on their ppsh4. inflicting casualty to such primitive army are easy.
1
Sure, the counter offensive was spearheaded by 4th panzer army lead by Richard Ruoff. Did you ever hear that name?
1
I doubt that. there are 5 soviet armies on the area versus 6 German corps so they are equal in both manpower and tanks.
1
The credit should go to people who serve 4th panzer army.

He demand elastic defence when Germany already run out of oil.
