  4.  @countvondamned2143  The same happen with the Russian. Their most elite unit are the tank Army. They only have 5 and latter 6 of them but receive all trucks needed. The rest are still using horses and drag their artillery pieces using their own troops. In case you wonder why Soviet artillery guns half the weight of their German counterpart. Because other than the most obvious heavy like B-4,ML-20, A-19 and Kat they push/pull their guns around. Those tank armies never rest. They are the only unit fight 24/7 all year non stop.

  6.  @Centurion101B3C  Recoil operated actually more reliable than gas operated but the principal are the same. The round they use are powerful enough to give you reliability. American squad MG fire burst not continuous shoot, so 20 is fine. Cal 30 is for platoon/company asset because its heavy. The same reason why the Russian put their Maxim as company asset not squad asset.

  8. They only issue one or two extra magazine. So the maximum RPM of PPSH is 150. MG 34 have two ammo carrier so they have 500 rounds.

  9. Nobody expect Germany to attack everyone because failed harvest. The Soviet have their main priority replacing their outdated last century three line rifle. Same with the American. The Brittish doing fine really. The problem with MG 34 is they require two dedicated ammo carrier carrying two ammo box each. The British give extra magazine for everyone to carry. The American Rifleman already have superior fire power. The Soviet just not ready for war and go full SMG team.

The British and American use 20-30 rds capacity magazine but they carry a lot of them, good enough to last several minutes intense shootout. And he did mention this about everyone carrying Bar or Bren magazine not just ammo carrier.

  15. Better are relative btw. The Brits and American use magazine so other soldier can help to carry extra rounds beyond official load out. MG 34 and 42 use belt fed and DP 28 use huge pan magazine which cant be carried by anyone else but dedicated ammo carrier. If the combat extended to several minutes Germans and Soviet already spend all their ammo in one minute and cant even fire their MG on minute two. The Brits can reach minute 5 and American can reach minute 10-15.

  16. SVT 38&40 are crap. No Russian pick them over Mossin even in 2020. NCO use MG because they are not supposed to be in the firefight and they usually only carry one extra magazine.

The soviet only form 5 and latter 6 tank armies to focus resource allocation, unlike Germans which have several panzer arme. And the one destroyed Germans at kurs is Operation Pokavodet - Rumansyef. Von manstein are delusional and hes lucky to avoid gallows for all atrocities he commit in Ukraine.

  21. Theorical RPM was limited to ammo capacity. Bar and MG 34 have no reliability issue since Bar is still being produced up today and why on earth they need lubricant when they shoot full battle cartridge with powerful gas operation.

  23.  @Centurion101B3C  All modern SMG are recoil operated same with all automatic pistol. MG 34 also still in active service in some part of this planet, despite stop being produced in 1945. The fact is US army suffer the least casualty speak itself that RoF have something to do with the logistic than the weapon itself. And it owes mostly to the 20 rds magazine of BAR allowing everyone to carry its ammo.

  26.  @QuizmasterLaw  Because Vietnam war is about South vs North Vietnam. This is just squad vs squad. You dont need all of those mentioned. they are all company level assets. Also this is the reason Germans have easier time in defense (because they have mg 34 in every squad) while the soviet have the hardest (1 DP per platoon on average)..

  27.  @QuizmasterLaw  You dont put mortar into squad. they are platoon or company assets and have their own mortar team. Same with AT assets. they are all grouped in AT team/squad not in rifle squad. Dragonov are not sniper assets. The Russian have their own sniper team armed with bolt action rifle. I doubt anyone can put sniper in regular squad since they have to carry observation equipment.

  30. They will fuck their logistic even more because they shoot different ammo. The Brittish, American, Russian only need to carry two. Tokarev and x54R one for Russian. Us only have to carry 45 acp and 30-06 and the brits 9mm parabellum and 303. If they use STG 44 they have to carry 3 different ammo just for one squad.
