  7. Good point. As a shy child, my strange name gave me something to start a conversation with. Now, I imagine having an unusual name as an "Awareness Test." Using humor, I often out loud conversationally rate people on whether they passed or failed on noticing my name is "unusual" - or not. When they fail the test, their brain simplifies my name to another, more familiar, similar version of a name...which requires their assumption that I spelled my own name wrong. So, I agree with you - that's where the repeated accusation of "you're wrong" originates, and that's why I inform them when they do so that they "failed" the awareness test by assuming I'm wrong about my own name.
