  1. i love dr k’s take and how much nuances he offers in perspective that a lot of ppl don’t consider. whether we like to admit it or not, a lot of us see things as black and white. for me, i have been struggling with depression and anxiety since dec 2021. however, my lowest WAS dec 2021 where i was bed ridden for the month and didn’t eat or sleep. i was suicidal at one point in April and June but i also am self aware so i have been in active therapy since Jan 2022. i reached out to my doctor in dec 2021 tho and he referred me to a psychiatrist so the wait time was quite a while but it helped me though. i also binge watched a lot of self help videos bc i can’t afford a therapy that specializes in trauma at the moment (im in university and trying to buy a house and car soon…hopefully i can secure myself a safe space by next year) so i go to free therapy but bc it’s government funded, it’s not the best but it definitely has helped!!! i will always say to ppl that u need to surround urself w friends, family, and ppl who are not ur “yes man”. u need ppl who will treat u with the right amount of compassion but to not constantly validate u and reassure u but encourage u to help urself. ofc it’s good to have a strong support system at ur lowest points but to become co dependent is a whole diff situation
