  1. Unfortunately, from what I'm getting from various folks who have videos get copyright strikes, it's all automated, both the issuing and the YT system. Once the person decides to challenge it, then the copyright holder might get involved with a person. Not implying this is always the case, certainly smaller groups like a news channel or a non-prominent musician would issue a takedown/strike request, just that certain things are using content matching algos to do the initial legwork. They either don't care about whether it's technically fair use, or are just banking on the "offender" getting scared and complying. 🫤
