  1. Lobbying is, sincerely, why I have zero faith in our congress-people doing ANYTHING in the people's best interests. Lobbying got co-op broadband illegal here in Tennessee, after the electrical co-op in Chattanooga rolled out our nation's first consumer gigabit fiber, which then quickly became affordable at lower speed package. Thankfully that was repealed 5+ years later, but that meant we wouldn't get rural internet for another 5+ years! Only in the last few months did we finally get ANY terrestrial broadband solution in my part of TN. Despite fighting tooth and nail since moving here in 2009... So yea, I have no faith in our government anymore, unfortunately, because MONEY is doing the governing. 😔
