You all are forgetting a key buzzword: Next Gen 5G is old hat. Stealth is old news. Hypersonic is too easily thrown around! But "Next Gen"?! That... can mean or be ANYTHING! 😏

Wouldn't have changed anything in this situation, other than not having a trail rotor. Counter-rotating blades doesn't omit rotor wash, or the phenomena that occurred in this instance that crashed the one. (BTW, what he meant by "prevents spinning" is that the stacked counter-rotating blades [like a Ka-50 or Ka-52] cancels out the rotational torque that is induced by a single rotor setup; the Chinook displayed in this video does that as well, just in a different [less compact] way.)
