Is it possible that they are using a passive "NACA Duct"? Which is that somewhat A (or V) shaped inlet that doesn't stand proud of the body panels. They've been used on many many aircrafts, but also on vehicles for turbo inlets, or as fresh air inlets in plexiglass side windows with a hose that ducts it into the occupant's helmet(s). ("passive" duct in the sense that it is not placed in the air stream and therefore doesn't act as a drag-generating ram-air duct; yes, both are technically passive, but one allows the engine to draw in air, whereas the other forces in air)

Wouldn't surprise me if the system that launches Tomahawks from ships (and I believe subs) would be easily modifiable to do these, too.

 @Bacteriophagebs That's a fair point, kinetic kill vehicles indeed slipped my mind. But the explosives would/could certainly be stealthy, it's the EXPLOSION that wouldn't.
