  1. IF it is real, my guess is it's a cold thruster to clear it from the aircraft before it kickstarts it's hot thrusters. There's more cases than I can count where missiles are deployed this way, for exactly that reason. Heck, doesn't the Javelin first spit it out that way, to get it clear of the soldier?

  2. A giant MALD – the aircraft spoofing decoy – carrying it's own little buddies, would REALLY make it appear to be the fighter or bomber its radar signature is showing it to be... But given Ukr is now ferrying multiple FPVs AND acts as a signal relay, this really isn't that far fetched. Some of theirs are using fiber optic cable, like a TOW missile, to avoid making as it reaches the target. Others are not copters but winged drones, and deploys them to be controlled via radio. Sure, the difference here is massive, since their's pale in comparison, technologically... but it's still similar in role. Just not deployed via aircraft like these would be.
