  1. Alex did a video on that. If I recall correctly, he said it wasn't a real scenario, or even real life. It was purely a hypothetical situation pitched by a think-tank, with that being a potential outcome to lookout for (and program against).

  2. Since it's being trained on multiple different birds... As long as the 'AI' pilot knows what plane it's flying, and thereby which skill set to pull from, it should do swimmingly! We're entering interesting times... 😎

  3. Same like what Ukraine is doing right now! Sending in various munitions and drones for an offensive attack, to overwhelm air defenses, which in turn almost guarantees their intended weapon (eg: Stormshadow) will make it through. (granted, WE have those specialty drones that can simulate any airframe, so we wouldn't necessarily need to 'sacrifice' these in that way... but, if the situation calls for it...)

  4.  @EL_DUDERIN0  And now that you mention it, now I'm curious whether it will apply some 'tricks' it learns on other airframes, to the others it pilots... On the one hand, it could lead to a disaster (a crash, and loss of test hardware), so I can appreciate wanting to limit that behavior, as it might only have been capable of such maneuvers due to say, thrust vectoring... On the other hand, we all know what amazing things Fly-by-Wire has afforded us, so... maaybe machine learning will find ways to do more with it? I'm not a pilot, and this might already be a feature in certain FbW aircraft, but perhaps it could offer automatic flat-spin recovery... perhaps even preventing it in the first place. Or, better yet, if the pilot gets severely injured, it can take over completely and return to base (or nearby friendly airstrips). 🤔
