This was my exact takeaway as well, that the intakes likely aren't as small as it seems, it's all a matter of perspective and our vantage-point does not afford us much. It'd have no issues with giving someone who got to close, a fast trip out the exhaust side, though! (not that anyone ever would be on the wings whilst it was spooling up.. )

Taking your word for it that they are "small intakes" and shelving my impression that the opening extends onto the wing surface.... Based on another comment (on this video) which quoted the General speaking during the unveil, mentioning fuel efficiency... Is it possible that they are "small" due to each inlet only feeding ONE engine on the B-21, versus the two that were supplied per B-2 inlet? (thus, only 2 engines per B-21, vs the 4 per B-2) I also didn't get the impression the windscreen looked at all wild and crazy? Am I missing something? Though I'll admit that initially it looked slotted ("louvered" you could say), but as it rolled out further, I attributed that to be caused by the rows of hangar lights being reflected. Maybe that's what Alex meant?
