Car window have little roller wheels that allow them to ride up and down the tracks (or "tacos", as my keyboard thought I swiped).
If this happens to you, have someone help guide it to where it SHOULD roll up, while you run the switch. Then, don't touch it and go take it in to get fixed! Screw around too much and you risk wrecking more inside it, or worse, shattering it. Cheaper to replace a little roller than the entire window!
Oh, also, if it is a door style that the window doesn't roll up inside the door frame, but rests against the outer edge of the roof (many are like this), then ALSO be very gentle when closing that door!!
Tempered glass is really strong, but only when well supported around the edges 👍
