At least on the moon there's no foliage or two cylinders of water-ladened cellulose foam to murder the signal. (trees and their leaves) Kinda surprised they didn't use WiFi, though, or even ZigBee for that matter. After all, Percy and Ginny used ZigBee on Mars!

It's a turn off phrase, so you'd have to take it to with whomever coined it? That's just how the phrase is said and we all know what it means. If your want to be pedantic further: why is it "turn of phrase"? Not like we're rotating words, right? Or "coined", for that matter? 😏 Point is, there's no need to over think it 😊

@Codysdab Most selfies are indeed a bit too-much; but, when it's just one parent and their child (particularly if it's a single-parent family), with no one else around... I'd say that also qualifies as an acceptable circumstance 😋

Since there's undoubtedly others like me who were confused by Peter's letter-soup (which should've been in all-caps), it is not another language as YouTube thinks, but an acronym for: "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch"

@johermans6750 I guess I didn't expect that these little Moon rovers would have that long of a lifespan, given how small they area and how insanely cold it gets during the long lunar nights. (many of the huge landers aren't even designed to survive it) Also, technically WiFi is just as capable of traveling large distance than any other protocol. Even on Earth where its transmit power is limited by regulatory bodies, it still can by using directional antennas for Point-to-Point communication (the Pringles can "cantenna" mod back in the early-00s proved this). But yes, that would be harder to pull off since the two points are not fixed. Even still, with no humid atmosphere and no obstacles, it'll still transmit a considerable distance, which even on Earth is doable with omnidirectional antennas on large open areas. Combine that with the fact that the Moon lacks both fauna and regulatory agencies, it will go even further and can have the transmitters far more powerful.

@andrewbullman5206Earth's atmosphere has been detected out as far as the Moon, but that doesn't mean the Moon "has an atmosphere". Point is, you've accomplished nothing with your argument. As such, when it comes to pointless pedantry that accomplishes nothing... you, sir, walk away with that trophy. 🤣 Your "win" is so hollow, it is the equivalent of a vacuum!

We've already had our first Aviation Mishap Investigation after Ingenuity crashed on Mars... Only fitting that we'll potentially have our first ""car"" accident on the Moon soon! Although, both will have the ability to be open to additional "Firsts", when it's caused by people being at the controls, instead of automation. 😅

HA! You're right... 🤦♂️ For anyone unfamiliar, as I was, it's literally identical except that Ableton's has one additional vertical and horizontal bar (4 of each).
