I also like Death Metal. 🤘😫🤘
Not sure if they technically classify themselves as that, since they're kind of Orchestral/Symphonic Death Metal, but Septic Flesh as a group I stumbled across recently. I really dig Codex Omega, specifically the Deluxe version since it included the orchestra recordings unmixed from the metal, and hooo-boy is it epic stuff. Mom heard me listening to it once and thought I was watching a movie 😅 If my everyday life had an orchestral score, that WOULD be it, though!
But yea, all the stuff the orchestra plays is composed by their guitarist, as that's the kind of thing he attended higher education for. Pretty cool when classically trained musicians step WAY away from that style of music! 🤣
(another is 'Clown Core', which people have determined who those two are and they're both classically trained on multiple instruments; I recommend the "Van" album, but specifically the one a fan combined into a single video [I think it's about 30min], as that's honestly the best way to experience it.)
