  1. ​ @A.P.P.L.E7  Agreed. In actuality, he's a hero because he did try! At least in my opinion... as it was a heroic deed, regardless of the outcome. (my understanding is that you can be awarded the purple heart for similar selfless acts, even if the person[s] you attempted to save didn't make it; I could be wrong, but that's how I would award them if up to me)

Scott, thank you for both being a good human being and not sharing the footage, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, for being a hero in a time of need... ♥️ I said this in a reply as well, but yea, in my eyes *you're a de facto hero. 🫡 Doesn't matter what the outcome was, you still ran TOWARDS the raging inferno, putting your life second to that of those in need. We're all proud of you for that. I'm also glad to see the many comments by individuals in the know; a therapist, a war vet, a firefighter; all commending you on how you're dealing with this. I feel better not having to be worried that this will be eating you up inside, as their right... you did what you could, and you would have to have literal super powers to have done anything more. So I'm happy you're not second guessing yourself, AND that you've made this video so that it wasn't weighing on your mind. Now you please FLY SAFE! 😊 (speaking of which, maybe make it a point tell those you're giving a ride, to keep their feet off your pedals at all times; accident aside, this was a good indication that occupants need to be aware of that! 🥴)
