Sorta related, but my first time seeing Interstellar was long after it was in theaters (thankfully on BR), and I had already seen some Science Channel shows about the literal science behind "Gargantua" (data work and simulations; scientific papers were written because of the work)... so going into it, I already knew that Gargantua was not movie magic, but hard science. (what a validating moment, when our first imaging of a black hole came out so similar) So when we first see it in the movie, that genuinely broke me... 🥺🥹 I was 36 or so then, but that was the first time a VIEW brought me to tears, and this fact really caught me off guard. But indeed, moments like this, seeing real stuff like what Jared saw... it's good to be an empath. 😊

  5. When you're our age, you tend to forget that the movie is substantially older than many of the people watching the channel, and that very few have likely seen it! We get lost in time, when literally ANYONE who saw or heard that line, would've known it was referencing Back to the Future. I quoted the original Ghostbusters in a community post relating to a Twitch streamer, and I made sure to point out the movie title (and year), along with WHY I quoted it 😅 I knew that precious few of the 16-25yr old audience will have seen it, given it came out in 1984, which is only a year after I was born 🥴
