Sorta related, but my first time seeing Interstellar was long after it was in theaters (thankfully on BR), and I had already seen some Science Channel shows about the literal science behind "Gargantua" (data work and simulations; scientific papers were written because of the work)... so going into it, I already knew that Gargantua was not movie magic, but hard science. (what a validating moment, when our first imaging of a black hole came out so similar)
So when we first see it in the movie, that genuinely broke me... 🥺🥹
I was 36 or so then, but that was the first time a VIEW brought me to tears, and this fact really caught me off guard.
But indeed, moments like this, seeing real stuff like what Jared saw... it's good to be an empath. 😊
