  23.  @danid2702  Obviously "talking someone into" implies that they do agree to it willingly otherwise you wouldnt have talked them into it would you? So clearly if you have "talked someone into having sex" then by definition you do have their consent. What you describe as rape is failing to talk someone into something then forcing it on them which clearly wasnt what I was meaning. But nice going trying to give my words a different meaning than the obvious one to make it sound like I condoned actual rape - actually no - you "attempted" to twist the clear meaning of what Id written in order to argue a feminist point for the sake of it. "and power dynamics are important" because "men and women arent equals" - if power dynamics are so important to you that you see them as negating sexual consenting but also dont think that men and women are equals so they are always uneven in power - then logically you must think that women have a reduced ability to actually consent to men. How sad that you put yourself and other women on such a childlike level of reduced responsibility and how sad for men that you try to hold them to account for mutual actions and place a greater responsibility on them. Everytime I see such obviously sexist opinions from women supposedly seeking equality I cant help but think they are born out the same basic female instincts as old fashioned values of placing greater responsibility on men for sex and seeing women as less capable of responsibility of themselves that have always been prevalant in human society - only slightly twisted in a way that benifets women more. If women like you would take responsibility we could have equality - but because you would rather support infantilizing feminist theories about power dynamics which forever put a greater responsibility on men and diminish you own we never will. Your attitudes are sexist and gendered to the core and you should examine them. But you wont.

  40.  @danid2702  So can give me a situation where someone is "talked into it" that you would consider rape then? I literally gave one as two strangers in a bar - is there a "power dynamic" that makes that rape to you simply because one party is female and the other male? Also officers of the law and things like that aside when does anyone really have that much power over you? Surely you are capable of saying no to an older man or someone you work with? If not this is the problem - men dont have that problem so they cant imagine being so unbeliavably mentally weak as to see everything in "power dynamics" and be so intimidated and see other people as so "powerful" as to not be able to refuse sex with them. From my POV the fact that some women do see things this way points to a fault in women not in men. You keep saying "power" and "power dynamics" as tho u think using those buzzwords is proving or making some kind of point but its not - your statements about consent are either totally meaningless or very vague and the prescense of a woke buzzword like "power dynamics" doesnt change that. Im sorry but if women really go around seeing the world and consent in terms of all these "power dynamics" that influence their decisions to the point where they arent responsible for their own decisions then that is completly pathetic. Especially coming from supposedly modern women seeking equality. If this is the way women then men in the past have been right to think the things they did and its no wonder things have happened the way they have.
