Reads like a comment from someone who failed as an entertainer and is making excuses for themselves. Plenty of actors and successful music artists don’t come from families “in the biz”. If your an entertainer then you would do it for the art, not because you hope to be a big shot.

Why do you think your owed enough to live from “academia”? It’s not like “doing academia” is a skill which actually enriches people’s lives. You just want to be payed to do whatever interests you regardless of the actual value to others from it.

So what? Music is hardly and essential service. If you can’t support yourself with your own music why the hell do you think someone else should pay you well for it? Get a real job. We live in literally the only time in history where musicians are rich.

@Gerulcia They came up with many new ways of doing things and inventions that made loads of money aside from colonialism. Actually that's the reasons they got to the point of colonialism in the first place. They were more technologically advanced than other countries. Not saying that it's right, but you act as if anyone could have just chosen to do what they did but were too moral, but that isn't the case. They were ahead in wealth and technology already by a long way.

@mikeyorkav4039 Colonialism is thousands of years old, it didn't just start with the discovery of the new world by Europeans. Get a clue.
