  2.  @enikthealtrusian-7754  My guess is that they think they will be free when everyone else has their freedom taken from them. They somehow think they are the righteous ones worth an exception. There is no way to be more wrong though.

  7. Capitalism is in place and going strong. Why would anyone rebrand it. Sure there are attempts to attach some colorful stripes like green or social, but the base is unchanged. Capitalism helped billions out of poverty, Communism killed 100-200mio people. That's why the latter is not too popular.

  9. ​ @dthornto31 because it's not about left or right view anymore. It's about statistics how to manipulate the right group of people that make a difference in elections and then it's about how to attract the most potent donors. Left or right is just a fig leaf.

  10. You can reject as much as you want. It is what it is. What it looks to me is, that you cherish some idea of good Communism that is only good because it doesn't take into account human nature. Once used in the real world it will just kill another 100mio people.

  11.  @markthomas7279  There is no right kind of Communist. There is the Communism that kills people by the 100 millions and there is the fairy tale Communism that people dream of but that inevitably transforms in the former one as soon as it hits reality.
