  3.  @Jehty_  I (from Austria) also think it's dangerous to talk about religion. Religion is quite personal and very irrational. Talking about religion can easily lead to situations where people feel cornered to address that irrationality. They usually don't like that at all. If you ask about Religion people can't tell where the conversation might lead and if you ask because you are interested or because you want to make them feel stupid. No matter how hard you try to make your intentions known, people can't know what your real intentions are.

  6. People arguing for speed limits are mostly people who drive the Aurobahn 1 or 2 times a year and can't emotionally handle being overtaken.

  8. Depends on what you mean with "work". It's quite likely it would work at least as well as the current system if those opposing it don't get a chance to sabotage it enough. Bedides that, nothing that involves human works too well, so get your expectations adjusted.

  9. I'd guess the main reason is, that land is just more abundant in US. In Europe we are used to fight over whether some straws of grass belong to one or the other owner. So communities are forced to use land as effectively as possible.

  10. We ended forcing our religion onto others (within Europe) 200y ago after 200y of war. In the US this is still in flux. This is why the inflow of muslim immigrants is unsettling to many in Europe.
