  1. I was working in a software development house at the time, so we approached Y2K, with a degree of sang froid. I just made sure that my fridge was full of beer because, I'm Australian. I did stay up watching TV until after midnight though to see if aything happened. Not out of fear, more from a sense of morbid curiosity.
