It's extremely rare in European countries, because firearms aren't available like candies to be bought by untrained/ mentally-ill/ ex-convict/ alcoholic people and stolen by violent criminals

@Evil_pinata If violent people could only use melee weapons, most of their victims would be able to outrun them, most of them wouldn't be able to cause carnage, there would be no stray bullets piercing the bystanders, the officers would be able to easily take them down and the permanent physical damages could be minimized. It's been proven in other developed and big countries for many decades, if we compare their numbers of knife-related homicides and the US' firearm-related ones
