The homicide rate is higher in African and South American countries, but not for ma ss casualty events. The government has been replacing around 40,000 dead citizens and children with legal immigrants every year, due to firearm violence

  3. Unlike the US, people who've been convicted of crime or have an alcohol/ drug addiction aren't allowed to buy firearms in Switzerland. They also need to prove that they're well-trained to use it and must pass a test to get a license. The "well-regulated militia" part isn't fully implemented in the US
