Imagine if nobody was allowed to own firearm, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk/ play outside without worrying about stray bullets

@sarrahc1338 Yes, but their government take the time to train people and conduct thorough background checks. Unlike the US, people who've been convicted of crime or have an alcohol/ drug addiction aren't allowed to buy firearms in Switzerland. They also need to prove that they're well-trained to use it and must pass a test to get a license. The "well-regulated militia" part isn't fully implemented in the US

@bigsmitty867 Violent criminals in other developed and big countries could also get illegal weapons too, but look how their authorities dealt with it for many decades

@ravenna9969 Had those violent people in the UK been able to use firearms, there would've been many more casualties and the police wouldn't have easily taken them down

@jacquesdemolay5171 Switzerland's crime rate was similar to the US' in the 90s and there were a few tragedies, before the government heavily regulated the use of firearms. Brenton Tarrant couldn't get it in his home country, so he went to New Zealand to take many lives
