  1. This dispute reminds me of Kuwait invasion by Saddam Hussein's Iraq thirty years ago, which was triggered by an onshore oil source dispute and Iraq's inability to pay their debt to Kuwait. This offshore dispute could lead to similar escalation, especially when the nationalism and religious zealotry are all time high in Turkey since the prime era of the Ottoman Empire
