Imagine if firearm ownership was heavily regulated in all states and if the citizens were willing to reduce their "freedom" a little to abolish illegal weapons, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk and play outside in big cities without having to worry about stray bullets

@ronniemoore9289 You could still have your beloved weapons if the US follows Swiss firearm laws

@alank616 Based on the data from UNODC in 2020, the intentional homicide victim rate per 100,000 inhabitants is 6.3 in the US, 1.95 in Canada and it is just 1.2 in the whole UK. This means people in the US are SIX times as likely as the ones in the UK to be the victims

@spencerhardy8667 England has similar demographics, yet most violent people in that country can't cause carnages because they can't steal firearms from pawnshops/ stores/ [chuting] range/ the owners and can't bought it from unlicensed makers. Based on the latest statistics from Federal Bureau of Prisons, 57.6% of inmates in the US are [Wyatt] and 38.4% are [Blake]

@User5_ Violent criminals stole legal weapons from pawnshops/ [chuting] range/ stores/ the owners and some of them bought it from unlicensed makers. Extreme accessibility of firearms in the US is a double-edged sword and it's like a chicken & egg situation, because weapon thefts are rampant

@Dreamhelmet Just build tall walls and assign armed guards to secure the border
