@FierceZs1 Violent criminals stole legal weapons from pawnshops/ [chuting] range/ the owners and some of them bought it from unlicensed makers. Extreme accessibility of firearms in the US is a double-edged sword and it's like a chicken & egg situation, because weapon thefts are rampant
1
@FierceZs1 The quickest solutions to clean a firearm-infested country are banning all forms of homemade firearm making, conducting federal internet surveillance to identify illegal transactions and doing routine inspections on the roads to confiscate illegal weapons
1
@PH-fz9cj That's in the whole UK, not in England only
1
@nosaj3856 46% were homicides and the rest were suicides/ self-defense/ police actions, that means there were around 17,660 homicides, which is atrocious as compared to other developed countries. Canada just banned firearms, so let's compare their violent crime rate with one in the US one year later. It will prove what many citizens and NRA did wrongly
1
@kevinjones5715 Most citizens in other highly developed countries cannot own legal and illegal firearms, yet they don't live under tyranny. They still have power over their governments, such as making Boris Johnson step down and Park Geun-hye jailed. Try to do it to the incumbent president or the next one
1
@FierceZs1 Yes, but the extremely high firearm accessibility has been making it worse. I watched many footages this year about criminals broke into firearm stores, [chuting] range and pawnshops to steal legal weapons
1
@kevinjones5715 The authorities just need to make the weapons inaccessible to untrained/ alcoholic/ mentally-ill/ short-tempered/ violent people, ban all forms of homemade firearm making and conduct routine inspections on the roads to confiscate illegal weapons. That would a very little cost to pay for the ultimate safety in the country
1
@mrt8179 It's just a fastest method to clean up a firearm-infested country. We wouldn't require internet surveillance and routine inspections anymore after abolishing all illegal weapons
1
@nosaj3856 I didn't see the list, so it must've been censored. Based on the data from UNODC in 2020, the intentional homicide victim rate per 100,000 inhabitants is 6.3 in the US, 1.95 in Canada and it is just 1.2 in the whole UK The CDC showed that the top five states with the highest firearm death rate in 2020 include Mississippi/ Louisiana/ Wyoming/ Missouri/ Alabama and the previous president won all of those states back in 2020. FBI data also shows that Alaska/ New Mexico/ Tennessee/ Arizona/ Louisiana are the top five states with the highest violent crime rate and the previous president also won three of those states back in 2020

@mrt8179 Look at New Zealand after their government successfully conducted the buyback program
1
@Robert-pz1mu Those aren't highly developed countries

The citizens are trigger-happy, especially in road rages. There were 44,213 firearm-related casualties in 2022. The US government has to replace those citizens and children with around 55,000 legal immigrants who weren't raised with the US' ideology and education, through Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery program each year
1
Better stay in a socialist country, then having to worry about stray bullets in the Wild West. However, all island and peninsula countries are facing problems because of the rise of sea water level

Audrey Hale in Nashville was under doctor's care for emotional instability, yet she was free to buy as many arms as she wanted to take children's lives at Covenant school. Firearms are available like candies, to be bought by untrained/ mentally-ill/ ex-convict/ alcoholic people and stolen by violent criminals

The news stated the police didn't arrest the man

Even the kids in Baghdad and Kabul don't wear bulletproof vests at schools 🤣 What a great country, ridden with stray bullets and armed thugs
1
Should've killed the brutal attacker. It was an attempted murder
1
Only if you can earn money from home

He looked overweight and bloated

Thankfully, there's capital punishment in Florida
1
An attempted murder on a law-enforcement officer should warrant a capital punishment, because he'd likely take other person's life after getting released ten years later
1
Imagine if firearm ownership was heavily regulated in all states and if the citizens were willing to reduce their "freedom" a little to abolish illegal weapons, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk and play outside in big cities without having to worry about stray bullets
1
@bitemeloser822 Nobody but the land herbivorous animals that people eat are also not predatory
1
Gods Chosen One The elites and their circles are safe behind gated communities, while the rest take each other's lives
1
@silentmajority8365 Free high-quality university education and non-worldwide tax system could help them finding decent jobs abroad
1
This is why safer and more convenient public transportation is required. Reducing the number or personal vehicles in the big cities can also fight global warming
1
Even if they get caught, they'd likely get released after a few days or months since nobody died and they'll never fully pay for their victims' permanent financial damages. Weak laws/ sentencing/ punishments, lawyers and defunding crowds have been ruining the once-great country
1
America needs public hanging or guillotine for any video-documented murder
1
It's like a scene from Final Destination
1
The country had fallen into such a state of lawlessness, that citizens had to arm themselves because there were no police to protect them. The social contract seems to have been broken to such an extent, that the state is no longer able to keep the streets safe
1
Hoping them to understand the severity of their actions? This is why the laws, sentencing and punishment are so weak in the country. They should be executed on a street, to deter other violent criminals
1
@Blissid_Waters No

Kal-El's vessel

@ThePoliteHater1970 Switzerland's crime rate was like the US' in the 90s, before the government heavily regulated the use of firearms. Yet it's still currently touted as a gun-loving country with one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the world
