Imagine if firearm ownership was heavily regulated and if the citizens were willing to reduce their "freedom" a little to abolish illegal weapons, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk and play outside in big cities without worrying about stray bullets

@robby2161 The national internet surveillance for spotting illegal homemade firearm making in Brazil/ Mexico are also not on a par with the UK and other developed countries. Capital punishment in Mexico was also officially abolished on 15 March 2005

@airtioteclint Violent criminals stole legal weapons from pawnshops/ the owners and some of them bought it from unlicensed makers. Extreme accessibility of firearms in the US is a double-edged sword and it's like a chicken & egg situation, because weapon thefts are rampant
