  5.  @mbmann3892  We have Sprinters at our job and we don't have a problem with rust ... we use them for many generations already, without serious problems. We have snow and salt as well, no big issue for us

  9.  @persiaswine  schonmal bedacht dass du mancherorts nicht groß die Option A, B oder C von der Strecke hast, und dass bei Behinderungen die möglichen Alternativrouten auch schon von anderen KFZ befahren werden, selbst Schleichwege? Was für ein Auto fährst du, hält es das Auto mitm Stau Assist auch immer schön mittig in der Spur oder musst da aufpassen?

There are cities with less than 100k inhabitants which still run a professional FD. There are many places with 50k inhabitants which run a full-time FD, even some places with only 35k inhabitant have one ... Some factors you named for the volunteers go for professional as well, like flexibility in staffing the apparatus
