  1. Base it off a 20 X 90mm case. Sabot it to an elongated 50cal head of about 1000grains for a SLAP round ballistics performance. Design the bullet off the ROUFUS round, but increase the x-plo-cive component by 300% and replace the penetrator with DU so the ablative properties keep it sharp during it's "high energy travel" through hardened material. Edit... Also, what most people refer to as "Thermite", is actually "Thermate", and has far better properties of control and dispersion. Neither of which is a good material for high energy delivery as rapid oxidization and dispersion on impact would make it useless beyond making some "pretty smoke". Have fun...
