30:24 "Aboard HMS New Zealand, Captain John Greene, also known as 'Jimmie', solemnly orders the Maori warrior skirt and green pendant, be brought to the bridge, where he puts them on. Thus enabling the supernatural protection that these items bestow upon his ship." THIS. This is why I am here.

@mattblom3990 Matt. Thank you for using the word 'community'. My opinion is that this is a 'community'. Drach should be proud of having created it.

I wanted icons to begin appearing on the screen.

@mattblom3990 That sounds a bit 'war-hammerish'. But who am I to question to traditions and beliefs of the Mighty Maori.

2:55 "Two decades earlier, the German Navy had scarcely been more than a glorified coastal defense force. But now it stood as the second most powerful navy on the planet." HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? Yes, Germany had steel and coal industries. But what about SHIPYARDS? How did they build that fleet? Are shipyards (and ship building skills) that easy to develop? I'm aware of the US/USN explosive naval growth in WW2 (read "Freedom's Forge" by Herman). How did the Germans do it?

@Drachinifel Cut white paper into pieces just a "tiny-bit" larger than the ship-bases. You only need enough to place them beneath the models of one side. The "outline" should provide visible but SUBTLE differentiation. Different colored paper might yield a more aesthetically pleasing contrast.

I was mistaken. "This is why WE are here." Forgive my hubris.

@AndrewPalmerMTL Sir. Your suggestion, 'tabs', is how we do it in our mil-hist-weekly-game-group. I agree with you that the models are too small to be identified/differentiated. 1:6000 bases are too small to print visible-info upon. My pet peeve is 'clutter' on my game table (which I call 'visual pollution'). That is why I stressed the word 'subtle'. The 'visual' problem is taken to a whole new level when trying to photograph game tables. Covid has forced me to run 3-webcam Zoom games. Lighting and unit-recognition are the biggest challenges.
