  1. He has leaky anal sacks? You have no idea how LUCKY you are!!! It could be the opposite. Dogs who 'skoot their butt along the floor' often have non-draining sacks. And that requires that you stick a (gloved/lubricated) index-finger up there and gently find/pinch/massage both sacks (yes...you do it twice). They are just behind the anus. They feel solid...the size of a pea. Find it with your index finger. Position your finger at the 'front' of the sack. Press your thumb along the outside of the body...and pinch/squeeze towards the rear. And hold your breath. I strongly recommend putting a lot of paper down on the floor and doing this inside. If your neighbors see you doing that outside....you have to move to a new state. And let's not even talk about how many 'views' that would get. Consult a vet before trying to do any of this, please (I refuse to google it for further info).

  2. PS: Anal sacks are like a computer's IP address. Their aroma is unique to each dog. And disgusting. This is why dogs sniff poop. They can identify the pooper.

  3.  @ReubentheBulldog  EXPRESS!!! That is the word!!! "express the gland". Now I remember it all. The horror. The horror. Seriously....I'd never heard of them 'leaking on their own'. Does it stink-up the entire house? Or just a room? If you have to 'express the glands', they don't 'drip out'....they squirt. And you gag. Now I remember...I'd get tears in my eyes.
