You also claim to be an equal society while constantly bitching about how bad your elites , politicians are. If the society is equal how does it unilaterally bend towards elitists side ? There is also a severe class system in UK where a person born poor is poor forever.

@peterpiper5905 My point being , come to the real world. Globalisation has disclosed many details , the popular , white man's civilizational narrative is now gone. Globalisation has brought the world closer and condensed all the known universe into a single focal singularity. You can't remain in isolation. You cannot escape Europe , India , Africa, etc etc. All people need all. Today is the age of diffusion and intermingling of culture , capital , expansion of trade etc. You cannot escape liberalism, globalisation , multiculturalism. So what's the point in Brexit ? Look at our society. Infinite religions , ideologies , culture under one roof.
