No. That was their ignorance and part stupidity because of lack of social media , education , information and communication. The victims of this include B.R.R.Ambedkar himself. United states was founded on genocide , racism , slavery , anti semitism , anti Catholicism, discrimination against hindus , Asians and so on. This year in 1959 , US was still under fascist Jim Crow laws that privileged white christians against others. No one had any rights. By this time , India already had a sucessful all inclusive democracy. 33% Americans still don't believe in science , vaccines , spherical earth , evolution and modern cosmology. They are bible thumpers. Even villagers in India have better common sense. US failed in Vietnam , Cuba , Iran and now in Afghanistan. India never lost any war except 1962 but that was ONLY because of Nehru's policies and not because India was weak.

@ronnit24 He scrapped the military and the army thinking that the so called irrational , unfounded and delusional Gandhian Ahimsa will win India the 1962 war. He was naive and foolish to trust the Chinese. Chinese pretended to be friends but later launched a strong offensive. Nehru fell for Chinese optics. He also demoralized the army speaking that army is bad , evil and India doesn't want violence and therefore the army. Demoralized cadre never works on the ground. That was the time , the Gandhian non violence myth was broken.

@ronnit24 No . It's not a speculation. Its all Nehrus words. And recorded one at that. The videos of Chinese playing Indian songs and Ramayana theatrics from across the Himalayas are also documented. Nehru fell for it and they attacked. "India is a non violent nation. Scrap the army. We want minimum police" was his words. Many say it was because of his craving for a Nobel peace prize. You seem to be very young. I am from 1988. I pity this generation. They know nothing about the past and the miserable state of India back then. Thankfully by social media many are getting aware and our not so young and old generation still form the majority of voting block.

For America, anything it does including failing miserably is a success 😂 .Afghanistan is a global shame for US worse than Vietnam and Cuba. After spending trillions of dollars , costing million lives of Americans , spreading global terrorism you replaced Taliban with Taliban. You put your own people at risk. Indian goverment evacuated all its people. You left Taliban free that now in connection with Pakistan may do many 9/11's in America. Coming to Joe Biden , your own people don't think he is legitimate 47% think he is illegitimate. Your own people attacked your Capitol hill. No one trusts American democracy , just as no one thinks it's a super power and no one trusts disunited states of America. You have failed in all fronts. Be it covid or economy. Just dumping everyone from different skin colors does not mean diversity. Its just a photo op and a vote bank material. The whole US is condensed into muhh...American. Call other systems pagan , distort order culture and present it as if it's own. Like American Yoga , christian Yoga etc. Many civilisational states in Asia including India are much more diverse since 10000 years. India is diverse since thousands of years. America bombs and destroys other nations for their fake democracy and freedom . America should better bring democracy in its own land first. There is something called facts , documents, documented evidence , recordings , forensic reports etc that knowledgable and common sensical people look up to , to know what happened. Its unfortunate that you and many of todays generation people dont know this basic fact. My statements , opinion and argument are as much politically motivated as your ignorance , running away from facts and uncomfortable truths and having nothing to counter my argument. Funds shortage to army was there but that was because Nehru never prioritized army , defence and national security and was busy pandering to foreign media and leaders.
