I am in India. And our elections are the biggest and the most interesting , intellectual and reflective of global trends. The conservatives defeated the leftists , islamists , communists by 2/3rd majority. Still the left blamed everyone but themselves. They blamed the media , the people , the electoral system , the social media , all but them It's true , the left NEVER learns from its failures.

I am so happy as an Indian. Jeremy Corbyn was vehemently anti India , anti Hindu and pro Pakistan. Borris Johnson has very good relations with India and considers Indian PM his brother. 88% British Indians voted for conservative. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇬🇧

We should have world right wing coalition Here in India too we are pissed about the left with its Islamism , vote bank politics , identity politics, anti nationalism and marxism . This inspite of having a brute conservative majority in the parliament.

@countofdownable Islam. 90% Hindus backed Borris J. Just an advice ( not racist or offensive ) Indians don't just know about their elections but are also expert in US , UK and French elections. We look closely to these elections because of proximity with English and liberal democracy and as G20 partners.

Indian here . I am afraid south Indians are very left leaning and will never support Republicans. We north and western Indians are conservative leaning.

Economy does not affect the electoral outcome and the people's perception unless and until it affects the common man with price rise , lack of resources and no development happening . Gdp is an Ivy league topic and majority of lay working people don't care about it.

Another Indian. I perfectly agree with you.

@mbrewer5499 You know nothing about world politics as is the case with majority Americans. This is era of globalization and multi lateralism. What happens in a major country , a democracy on top of that , has global repercussion. We are not interested in American politics because we like it or because we are Americans , but because it has global repercussion . And the reverse is also true albeit to a smaller degree. US and other democracies need India , a major economy and a G20 country and Indian politics also has global repercussions.
