I am afraid that is not the case. Boris got elected primarily because there was no alternative. It was a cake walk. Corbyn was not an alternative. On top of that , people just wanted brexit. So this vote was more of an escapist vote rather than an assertive vote. This election was not contested on the potential and capabilities of Boris Johnson. Neither economics nor social policies mattered in this case . It's too early to call it a triumph of conservative values over the left.
