@Phil-1887 in politics , even that is blasphemous. Voters do not understand subtleities nor do they want to. When it comes to employment and job security , they do not want anything like attrition to be said during the campaigns. That sows the seed of doubt , suspicion and negativity which is then reflected in the ballot box. Pierre Pollivere it seems do not understand the basics of political communication.

 @MaureenStairs no matter how many names are there , if your voters are intelligent they will definitely vote for you. Like the liberal candidate voters voted for him.

@TheBronwynRose no of votes in 1988 was for progressive conservative not CPC as we know it today. That is an important distinction. Plus if the liberals are getting 2.4% more than conservatives then there is no use of increased vote share of the cons.

 @christ24597 Alberta is a very conservative , primitive , patriarchal , narrow minded locality. No wonder why CONservatives win from there.

@Justiceactivist liberals too added 10 seats much more than the conservatives in totality , has 2.4% more and efficient vote share. Liberals got seats across all the provinces. Conservative vote is very restricted and localised.
