  1. Having huge universities , world famous universities of science do not help. None of Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford etc came to be any help. That's because the west hardly possess scientific mindset , attitude and lifestyle. Vast majority is detached from science and only into political fights and racial conflicts.

  2.  @sausageroll59p41  It's not even about funding from the government. It's about general level of awareness and scientific temperament which the general western nations labk. They are just into personal liberties , debate on immigration etc but hardly discuss science , biology etc. They also have huge mistrust towards their leaders.
