@tarstarkusz I know the 2spd powerglide was in use at Chevy until 1972 on some models, like the Nova before finally phasing it out all together. My '74 Nova had the 3spd autobox. Drove that thing for 2 years in the 80's before moving to a '78 Nova. The main thing was the '78 was a 2 door, had a few more options, including AM/8-Track stereo and the 305CI V8, instead of the venerable 250 inline 6 of the '74. the '74 was the base 4 door.

@tarstarkusz Same here, my first car in 1982 was a '68 Chrysler Newport with the 383 2BBL carb. The Nova replaced that, then the '78 replaced the 74 by 1985.
