@eugenetswong I am pretty cognizant of that even if I cook for myself as it's a good habit to get into whether you cook for yourself, or for others, so I have a bin in my drawer by the stove just for this. It's old spoons that came from various old silverware sets over the years, most came from my late mother when she kept them near her stove. I keep extra forks, serving sized spoons and knives hear the stove for other tasks where you need to quickly scramble/beat an egg, or spread something on bread for a sandwich.
