To further clarify, plagiarism is when someone copies, word for word material, even if parts of, but does not put it in quotes or acknowledges where it came from and thus, makes it as if they wrote it instead.

@askleonotenboom normally, I dislike them as well, but as someone born with congenital hearing loss, and at 60, it's gotten worse and at times if the audio is poor, it definitely helps. I like the option of being able to turn it off if I find it not necessary, embedded, not able to as it's now part of the video. YouTube has close captioning available for those that need it.

Yeah, I agree and one way to ensure you have comprehended the material is being able to write about it in your own words for the most part, if not 100% simply means you did absorb what was needed to be learned in said material.
