  1. This is why I don't use Google Docs, much of it is in the cloud, and you can't easily save to your own internal storage drive so now run LibraOffice as I can easily save locally. This is due to not having a working copy of MS Office as I had an OEM copy that I could not transfer from the original PC it was installed on when I was forced to replace it in 2019. Libra uses the kernal from an older version of Office if not mistaken, but it's free and works a treat. Sadly, I don't have the ability to do true newspaper 2 colum word processing however and it's perfect for video scripting for video production work. Anyway, I don't rely on the cloud for anything but short term files I need to share on forums etc on occasion. I'm finally working myself up to do backups again and use EaseUS ToDo for that. Need to do updates for data mostly. I have always looked at things from a pragmatic POV, which is why I have not used AI as yet as I see it being oversold as well.

  2. That is why I don't use Google Docs, it's all online and saving it locally requires a work around, just to save it locally. I now use LibraOffice because I can save my work locally much easier. Just hit Con't+S, et voila, it's saved, or Con't + Shift+S to save as if a first save of a project, and it's on my internal drive under documents. I can then backup from that at a later date when I do backups, speaking of, need to do an incremental, now that I have a full backup done a couple of weeks ago, using EaseUS ToDo.
