There are leading edge practitioners all over the world, and if you want progress to be faster, you want to be able to buy from all these places. By definition "friendshoring" everything means lower quality at a higher price, and permanently, since by definition the new players won't be as good and won't serve as big a market.

Tough but in full self control and capable of nonlethal crowd control. The troops near there dispersed Zaparozhia protesters using nonlethal weapons. I don't think any of the Chechens in Mariupol has any such. And it's the Chechens, Syrians, Dagestanis and most psycho gulag born troops that will be transferred from Mariupol to Kherson if there is any serious push from Mykolaiv towards Kherson.
