Careful speculating about Sri Lanka this is most likely a USA color revolution, intended to restart Tamil Tigers war as the West can control them and keep them from dealing with China or reinforcing India independence. USA/NATO/Quad really does not want Chinese infrastructure loans to Sri Lanka so it becomes independent of West markets for luxury products like tea.
