Dude I know what I'd do before leaving Snake Island, and I'm sure Russia did a lot more than I can think of. I'm sure also Putin told Romania that if it leaves NATO and stays neutral it can have both Snake and South Bessarabia.n

Snake Island, Sevastopol and Kaliningrad have nukes buried deep. If taken and evacuated, they are removable at the push of a single button.

14:00 Russia does understand social media and propaganda. It's deliberate that the Ministry of Defense does NOT do any propaganda. That's the strategy the Allies under Churchill and FDR pursued. They should not state motives, ever, as yes it can be portrayed as an admission of guilt. Snake Island never fired on a civilian ship or even a port. MoD should not state a cause for anything. Including not admitting that anything was a feint, failure, success, trap or provocation. Anything could risk the real reason, which is for NATO to pay to build a massive Nazi base there and then...oops. Sorry comrade our mistake.

It's a far better trap than it is a fortress. Ukraine can put a lot of NATO gear on it, the West can shriek victory, then a few Spetsnaz can retake it after a pummelling from air cover. Ukraine can't possibly defend it. Russia is brilliant at setting traps. This is a trap politically, technologically, militarily.
