  3. Not any more. Afghanistan broke the Canadian Forces. In particular being part of a futile non effort where serious deep peacemaking is simply not welcome. The US priority was sell more weapons and keep the area geopolitically destabilized. Had the odious criminal Stephen Harper gained power by 2003, he would have got Canada into Iraq too. Nine years of him & Afghanistan PTSD and good people did NOT join the Canadian military. Only neocon types who want to be shock troops for the USA the same way foolish Finland was lured into being NATOs front line.
