  1. 1:00 Turkiye played this brilliantly and Sweden and Finland are amazingly naive about NATO politics. If Sweden and Finland now refuse these extraditions of 33 people - which I guess they can dump on their courts - Turkey can't rescind it's approval of the candidacy but it can prevent final assent I believe. Which would satisfy the public in Finland and Sweden who will just quietly cooperate with each other and not NATO.

  2. Yes because final assent is required before actually joining. And Turkey can quit the alliance if it considers conditions unmet but will have the parts it needs etc already in hand.

Regardless of it being a Russian enterprise. If there was any evidence that the mining village is playing any possible military role, fine, present it. Abandoning Snake Island removed it as an excuse for mining Odessa waters, got S-400s out of a vulnerable position, and invited Ukraine to stupidly occupy it and put a lot of equipment out where they've got no Navy or air force to defend it. And where Russia probably installed a secret submarine bay. Now that Russia has thoroughly surveyed the island they will design & prep a Chinese style instant base for it. If they need it which they won't if South Bessarabia can be neutralized. It will be hilarious if Ukraine piles a lot of NATO weaponry there and then it gets all seized intact by Spetsnaz from a sub lol. That may be how South Bessarabia gets neutralized.
