  6. 3:30 do the math on the coal thing. Coal generated electricity is a cleaner way to do transport OR heating (with heat pumps) than gas cars or combustion heaters. It's oil and fracked gas that must be eliminated first. So the coal plants are preferable to importing US LNG or Canada Tar Sands today. Coal has enough negative local effects that it motivates the efficiency and wind change. It is also a local product in East & Central Europe so relieves inflation by more than enough to offset emissions. It is also a plus on carbon that conventional oil and gas goes east to displace coal WHERE it's being used least efficiently eg as baseload power sources. It would ideally all go to India and keep imported coal from Australia out. The main goal is to NOT benefit US, Canada or Australia dirty fuel export. Dirty fuels from Venezuela are a problem too but it's such a poor country with low per capita emissions that it's exceptional. If US and Canada and Australia profit from export of coal, fracked gas or dirty bitumen oil, that collapses the consensus on climate entirely. See John Kerry's report on this when KXL was cancelled. Local carbon emissions don't matter much it's a global issue. Germany can emit more if it's designing better forms of transport or lighting or refrigeration that everyone else in the world can use. They did far more of this than France, which has no ability to replicate it's nuclear solutions globally. Greens are actually getting much of what they want right now, which explains why they are willing to send 'absolute garbage' weapons to the Nazis to go die with. The time for peace will be when the efficiency and offshore wind programs are irreversible. You should congratulate the Greens for learning how to trade off one part of their agenda (peace) to achieve others (final end of EU reliance on imported oil or gas)
