Und die schlechtere Höhenverstellbarkeit der russischen Panzer hat Ägypten viele Panzer gekostet, als sie Israel angriffen. Das niedrigere Profil der russischen Panzer liegt zudem daran, weil die nur für kleine Menschen bis ca. höchstens 165 cm Größe ausgelegt sind. Während in einen Leopard 2 auch noch ein Mensch mit 185 cm Höhe reinpassen muss.

  6.  @UnderTheBanner  You should have just been more precise with your question. The optics are of a higher quality, which makes them better in many areas and the sensors are an essential component in night vision. In this field Western technology and here I include South Korea and Japan is currently still clearly superior to Russian/Chinese technology.

  7.  @UnderTheBanner  The old Russian tanks are designed for mass production and low costs, so the optics are only average and only slightly compensated. Things may look better with the T-14, but the sanctions mean they no longer have access to essential western optics. It is questionable whether they will put in the same effort for future T-14s or even have the know-how as, for example, Carl Zeiss. The thing is, with better optics you can see the enemy earlier at a greater distance and therefore hit them better at large distances, provided the cannon allows it and that is a significant advantage that Western tanks have. This also applies to the Leopard 1. The rifled gun may have less power than a smoothbore gun of a Leopard 2 at long range, but they still have the advantage when it comes to precision. That was one of the reasons why the Brits chose the smaller 105 rifled gun for the Challenger 2, for example.
