  1. @H I Sutton China bought the Lithium Titanate battery technology from Altair Nanotechnologies. These batteries are very safe and not dangerous and much better than lead batteries and they allow a very high power output. Their disadvantage is that their capacity is lower than normal Lithium batteries but still much higher than lead batteries. So they will not explode.
